Alessandro Berdini

Alessandro Berdini (1951) in 1976 founded the company Teatroinaria StanzeLuminose, one of Italy’s historic experimental theatre groups. He has directed over 40 productions, dealing above all with the relationships between literature and theatre. In the mid-90s he started creating more traditional theatre, making new room for contemporary Italian plays. In particular, he received wide critical acclaim for his work with Maurizio Grande (Empedocle tiranno, Shylock e Faust, Lettera ad Antonin Artaud), Franco Cordelli (Arancio, Pessimi custodi) and Franco Ruffini (Per tre sorelle).
Besides exhibits, festivals and collaborations with RAI International and RAI Sat, he also has numerous publications to his name.
